Established in a small mountain village not far from Thiers, the capital of French cutlery, Jean Dubost is a family business founded by husband-wife team Pierre Dubost and Marcelle Colas-Pradel in 1920. Almost a century later, Alexandre Dubost represents the fourth generation of cutlers at Jean Dubost.
Jean Dubost designs, manufactures and shapes a wide range of flatware and knives. After almost a century, the same gestures continue to be repeated in a precise and delicate way to assure excellence. The elegance of a table, the finesse of the details and the precision of the cutting edge constitutes an exceptional know-how, a clever fusion of tradition and innovation rewarded and recognized by the label EPV (Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant) since 2012.
Resolutely dedicated to the preservation of the environment, Jean Dubost has developed a wide range of environmentally friendly cutlery and kitchen knives since 2008, utilising innovative materials such as plant-based Bioplastic made from corn starch and PEFC oak, wood from sustainably managed forests.
